Play Room Day 1

The new play room received its carpet today. Afterwards Anna and I hauled a ton of toys downstairs for the new room. The very first thing she wanted to play with down there was play dough ... yikes... visions of green crumbly play dough ground into my new carpet. So I said "no" and then Anna explained that it was a playroom for her and Sammy.



They did manage to keep the play dough off the floor and I learned that Anna is a natural born enforcer of rules.



Anna's explained what she was doing as .. I am pretending to be a little old lady who is cutting down tree leaves to kill the tree. I made the penguins, Anna eventually cut them into little chunks and added them to the tree leaves pile.



Even Stella is happy about the new room. She ran up and down the stairs until she collapsed in exhaustion.

OBT 20th Anniversary

The ballet is back for the season and Anna is so happy to be going again this year. She went with Nana and Pop pop's (and her Piglet) to see the Emerald Retrospective this weekend. She has not had a chance to tell us about it, so I all know is that it was really good, the dancers wore green dresses, and she saw "Prince Charming" again.

Hello Little Red Chair .. How I love You

Nana thought Sam was ready for his own little chair .. boy was she right. She bought both Anna and Sam cute little chairs with ottomans for the new playroom. Sam is in heaven .. he loves his new chair and Anna loves to sit next to Sam in hers.





We also had the cutest crab come a visit us for several hours this evening. The crab likes to eat dinner and play animal bingo with her "pincher's up!"

Working On Sharing

Anna told me that she was going to work on sharing today. She still needs a lot of practice; however, it was nice that she set a goal for herself today. She shared the joy of getting to wear a pink flower dress with pink leggings.



She shared the little red car with Sam.



She shared a funny joke with Daddy.

Marathon Pizza Party

In celebration of Charles finishing the Portland Marathon today ... we got to eat pizza. It is really nice that Charles will be back to eating a little less healthy and to eat some processed food again.



Anna told us that even elephants like to eat pizza pie.

A New Way To Measure Happiness

Anna told me that she was "so happy, I am Disneyland happy today!" We spent a lot of time today playing memory and bingo games. She and Sam played with cars and rolled a ball back and forth .. not much action around here today. However, I am happy she is "Disneyland happy."





I don't think Sam was "Disneyland happy" ... he is still has a little rash and a lot of cranky left.

Goodnight Everybody!

We had a very busy day around here and it finally slowed down around bedtime. Poor Sam has roseola and has been feeling less then perfect. The plus side of Sam's roseola is that Anna said ...."ssssSammy spotted stomach." She has been working on the "sssss" sounds this week.



Charles read Anna her stories tonight, she picked Owen and Winnie The Witch.



In case you were not able to tell that Anna was holding a small plastic bird and a fuzzy bunny tonight. Anna made me take a second photo of them.
