Thumbsucker

Mr. Sam refuses to take a pacifier and has no real way of self soothing. I watched him suck on his thumb (really his thumb and several fingers) today for the first time .. then fall asleep .. then suck some more. I know in a few years I will not be cheering with joy that he can suck his thumb .. but for now .... YEA SAM!

Eggs

"Eggs go in a nest, I'm helping Mrs. Puddle Duck."

I am now pretty sure that Anna does not understand this book ... "the foxes a helpin Mrs. Puddle Duck."

Mr. Sam spent the morning in the car being forced into at least "trying" to nap.

Hot Dog On A Stick

Happy Veteran's Day. Charles had the day off from work so Anna, Sam, and I celebrated by going out to lunch with Daddy!

Anna really liked the hat (kid meal prize). She kept saying "it's my birthday, it's my party."

Sam spends most of his days strapped to me in some sort of carrier.

Update

15 hours. Sam is finally asleep.

And Anna's realistic monkey sticker book .. sticker legs.

Tinkerbell Tea Party

When I came home from work today, Anna and Nana were having a Tinkerbell tea party. Anna took a sip of tea and then Tinkerbell was given a sip of tea (complete with the sip, sip, and yummy, yummy noises that everyone makes when drinking tea).

Since Anna did not want her picture taken today, I had to sneaky shoot one when she was reading on my bed. She was reading the "20 Realistic Monkey Stickers" book and when I asked her about it she told me "once upon a time monkeys .. ha ha."

Poor Nana had a very hard day today. Mr. Sam did not sleep. He has had two relaxing baths, smells great (lavender), has a super full tummy ......

This is 12 hours later ... still awake.

Minor Until 2029

We got Sam's Oregon ID card and passport photo's taken today. He has the same deer in the headlights, really upset at the long lines, and exactly where in the world did they find such uncaring DVM worker look that everyone has on their driver's licence.

Anna ate some dog food tonight. "It's delicious." When we told her it was for the dog .. not 2 1/2 year old girls she ask us "to leave Anna alone " (in the kitchen).
