Miss. Saturn

At preschool Anna's symbol is Saturn. She picked it out on her first day of school. Today our Miss. Saturn gave us a "the frosty snowman Christmas" gift.



She also learned how to sing "BINGO was his name O!"

A Lazy Sunday

We had Anna's friend Katie and her family over for brunch this morning. It was also really nice to see Mary Jo and Steve (Katie's grandparents) again .. Anna was so happy to see Katie. Due to holidays and weather they had not played together for a while. I forgot to take photos ... rats ... but I did take a picture of the pretty flower posy before Anna has a chance to destroy it by "over sniffing."

Saturday At The Zoo

We spent a cold Saturday afternoon at the zoo this weekend. I think snow makes the animals come out .. I have never seen, so close, some of these animals. Anna likes to ride next to Sam in the double stroller. She pointed out her favorite animals to us ... "hippobottomisus, tiggers, zebras, wols (owls) and giraffe!"

I Got A Candy Cane!

Nana told Anna a few weeks ago that if she pooped in the potty she would give her a candy cane. I have been hauling the candy cane around for quite awhile and tonight while I was out geeting us a movie to watch ...

Like Hector!

One of Anna's favorite books right now is Happy Hector. In the book Hector is sad and end up getting his nose pained blue. Anna's new trick is to paint her nose "like Hector."

New York New Year Party

Our friends Dave and Kathleen hosted a kid friendly New Years party. We had a lot of fun. Turkey soup, pj's for the kids, bubble wrap, and a few cocktails ... great time. By the time it ended, is was more of a Denver New Years party.

The Sopranos Extra And Hair Braids

Here is Mr. Sam looking like an extra on the (sadly off the air) Sopranos.



Nana was able to braid Anna's hair yesterday. Anna has not really let me brush or comb her hair since this summer so I am pretty excited about the braids .. plus they are super cute. Today she let me put her hair into "two piggies, not ponies."
