One Year Check Up

Sam had his one year check up today. He is currently weighing in at 22.10 lbs (50%), is 31 1/2" in height, and has a head circumference of 45.5 cm (25%). I am amazed that that is all Sam weighs ... I think there scales must be off since he feel much heavier to me.



At Anna's one year appointment in February of 2007, she weighed in at 17.1 lbs, 29" for height, and 45.2 cm for head circumference.



Happy 13th anniversary to us! Three years ago this weekend we were in Disneyland to celebrate both our 10th anniversary and the soon to be arrival of Anna. I am very happy that we will be in The Land in a few days to celebrate the our family once again. Extra thank you to Nana for both remembering our anniversary and watching Anna and Sam tonight so we could go out to celebrate.

The Cinderella I-Phone

I plug my phone into Sammy stereo to play the Disney music saved on it sometimes for them. Today, Anna decided to use her phone instead of waiting for me.

State Fair

We took Anna and Sam to the state fair on Sunday. Anna talked the entire drive there about maybe getting to hold "fluffy yellow baby ducks." Once we parked the car, at the midway entrance, she switched to "I do not want to go into a scary black cat's mouth!!" (as seen in the book Angelina at the Fair) Lucky for Anna, we bypassed all the rides and only spent time with animals and fair food.



We watched Smokey The Bear give a little presentation about wildfires.



In the reptile house, Anna petted a snake, an alligator named Snuggle Puppy, and a dragon.

Birthday Boy Coma

Zorrrom, Zorrrom Goes The Train

Sam got a big boy train for his birthday. He is so excited to play with it ... he makes a funny little "zorrrom, zorrrom" sounds as he moves the train on the track. It is so very funny and sweet.

Happy Birthday Sam!

Today is Mr. Sam 1st birthday and we had a little party at Nana and Pop pop's house to celebrate. We had lots of friends, lots balloons, and lots of cake ... everything you need to have a good time.





Anna was such a great big sister today. She played with all her friends during the party, helped Sam blow out his candle, and helped him open his presents.



In addition to all our friends and family, we had a special little guest named Robert come to the party. He is my second cousin and Anna's new favorite little boy. He is such a sweet little guy, I really wish we lived closer to him and his family.



Bugle hands ... what every party needs.
