Road Trip Day 3: Swan's & Jelly Belly's

Our hotel in Anderson had swans swimming in the fountains. Anna and Sam were asked to feed the swans their breakfast. The swans eat a lot of food and it took Anna and Sam a long time to make sure all the swans got a good breakfast.

Sam took his job as swan feeder very serious. He also kept a tight hold on his bucket of swan food. He was not interested in sharing the feeding experience with any of the other hotel guest kids. Sam also tried to feed the koi in the fountains; unfortunately, they do not eat swan food.

We stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory for a tour after leaving Anderson. It is a much larger event then we anticipated. The factory has a restaurant, ice cream parlor, gift shop, vending machines, large costumed characters, and several jelly cars.

We met up with my high school friend and roommate Allie and her family for dinner our first night in San Francisco. I was able to finally meet her new baby girl for the first time. We ate in a really funky restaurant in North Beach with all sorts of interesting things to look at on the walls. Sam did not want to be there, so Charles and Sam drove around S.F. while we visited and ate dinner.
