In Seach Of Pie

Sam has a new habit of walking around with a spoon in his hand. He is hoping that someone, some where, will give me more pie.

Always Thankful For Pie

Nana made the most amazing Thanksgiving dinner today and the best part of the meal was the individual pie's for Anna and Sam. This year Anna helped Nana out by rolling the dough and pinching the edges.





We also watched the dog show. Anna told to watch once Maggie the "chandler" was on the tv.

November Zoo

Since it was not raining today, and may possibly be the last rain free day until February, Anna and Sam went up to the zoo for a quick visit. It was clear, beautiful, and really, really cold up there. We met up with some friends and did a quick tour of the elephants and the lions before heading home for hot coco.

Cowboys And Tunnels

Anna's friend Henry came over for a play date this afternoon. They spent most of the time playing a game they called "Cowboys and Tunnels." Anna was "cowgirl Jessie-Anna" and Henry was "cowboy Henry not Woody." I learned some new thing about cowboys today. They really like chap stick and ginger cookies.

Sam I I went to meet a very special little brother today while Anna was at preschool.

Anna went grocery shopping with me this week. She was very good at picking out treats to eat after dinner for this week. The chocolate mint ice cream cones have been the favorite one so far.

The Letter Of The Day Is Still D

Today was Charles last day with the kids. I know he had fun and they had fun. Today they baked a gingerbread cake to eat after dinner ... however just judging from today photos it looks like they played ball and had something to drink.

Anna told me that "today's photo's are from Daddy". He has been watching Anna and Sam for the back half of this full work week. It looks like they had a fun day together with dollhouses, cookies, tiny small rabbits watching TV with plastic turtles.

The Chair Tester

Christmas came a little early around here, Nana and Pop pop's bought us beautiful new chairs for the living room. Anna went back and forth between the old "squishy chair"



and the new "comfy chair."



Sam was not interested in being a chair tester. He was busy waiting for a turn on the wonder horse.



He was happy to be on the horse!

A Pixie Lunch Party

Anna had her friend over for lunch after story time on Thursday. The girls were so sweet and funny. First they decided to watch Tinkerbell movie (part 2 not the super frighting part one "TH ISLE Movie"), next they needed wings, and finally they needed to dance like they were flying. Sam was a little frightened.

The New View

After several weeks of Sam being super, super unhappy (mostly kicking, screaming, and crying) about getting into his car seat, I flipped him forward. I wanted to wait until he was at least two years old; however, he was just making the situation to difficult. While I know it is not as safe, I am calmer driver once I get the car going if I do not have the huge struggle. Sam was very happy to ride in the car today and I was a happier driver.

Halloween Party Teaser

We had a large Halloween party for Anna's school friends on the Friday before Halloween. Stephanie took amazing, amazing photo's of the party for me ... I think over 100 of them. Since I can not chooses what to post since my mind is swirling with the volume and quality ... plus I probably need to email a few of the parents before I post photo's since this blog is not private I will post a little teaser of the party.
