Front Yard Soccer

Our little yellow house project was finished on Friday. We are all so happy that we can now play in the yard again. We are still some finding nails, screws, staples, ect in the grass ... but not nearly as many as before.

The Napping House

I was a fun discovery to find that Anna and all her little friends had snuggled down for a nap on there own.

Hello Georgia

We were able to say a quick hello and goodbye to Baby Georgia this past week. Since she is our favorite little baby, there is never enough time to visit.

Ride Like The Wind, Wonder Horse

Guess who loves the Wonder Horse as much as Anna?

Sprinklers

Anna has been so excited about running in the sprinklers this summer. Anytime is is sunny outside, she is asking to be in her swimsuit. This new found joy has had two problem this summer: 1. it has been a little to cold for running in the water and 2. the outside of the house is under construction.

Baseball

Nana and Pop pop's took us to our first baseball game of the summer. It was mascot day and Anna was very excited to meet all of them. Mostly Anna and Sam liked being with Nana and Pop pop's and eating lots of snacks.

The Duck ... who for some unknown reason was Puddles the Duck and not Donald the Duck.

The Beaver. I do not know what the bever's name is since we like the ducks around here.

Last Day of Preschool

Today was Anna's last day of preschool. When she started at Just Little People she was 2 1/2 and Sam was only a few days old. It was very sad for me to say goodbye to the school, friends, parents, and especially her teachers. Anna is going to be 4 1/2 on Friday and she was ready to move on to her "big kid school." The school had a special day for her today with treats and well wishes for Anna at her new school.

Anna and Henry with the big robin's nest they have been working on all summer.

Chanrda and Anna being silly together.

Jeffrey and Anna, the sweetest teacher and kindest man ... so lucky that Anna had him for the past two years.

Afterwards a few of her friends joined us for frozen yogurt at the new shop down the street. It was OK .. the kids really liked it since you can self pick out all the topping you could ever want. Since all the big kids were being crazy .. my favorite little Walter.

This is Anna on her first day of school in September of 2008.

Mustache Playdate

Henry is back from his vacation to Hawaii. He came over for a little play date with Anna. They had a lot of fun playing the Chick Hicks Mustache Game.

Big Boy Bed

After sleeping for four night in a big bed an Nana's house, Sam was ready to sleep in a big boy bed at home. I set up a portable crib in his room in case he was a little naughty. He asked to be put into the little bed once and for the most part is happy with the new arrangement.

Oregon Steam Up

We spent last Saturday at the Oregon Steam Up. Sam loved this ... loved, loved, loved it. His new favorite color is "ello." Anna was great fun and really excited to show Sam around all the trucks.

Anna's was able to use a fireman's hose to put out a fake fire.

Road Trip Day 6: Long Drive Home

Sam really was not feeling well and wanted to go home, so we cut the vacation a little short and drove straight home in 12 + hours of driving. We listened to several audio Roald Dahl books, sang songs, and talked on the phone to Nana.

We did stop for lunch and had great Mexican food somewhere in southern Oregon.

Unfortunately, we were unable to go home right away due to home re-model construction. We ended up spending four nights with Nana and Pop pop's. I think this may have been Anna's dream ... "Nana is the best play date!"

Road Trip Day 5: Cable Cars, China Town, Ice Cream, & In-N-Out

After Charles returned from his race, we all headed out to ride the cable cars. To Anna's annoyance, I kept referring to them as trolley cars and she kept correcting me ..."actually they are cable cars momma."

Sam is a big fan of the cable cars. He liked it so much the brake man wanted to pose in a photo with us.

We walked around Union Square a little and ended up in China Town. We called Kathryn for a recommendation for Dim Sum and ended up eating an amazing lunch.

We also found a Banksy and the fortune cookie shop that lets you eat cookies hot off the line and take a photo of the women folding them for $0.50.

Since cable cars are a little popular, we ended up walking back to Fisherman's Wharf. It was a nice walk and Sam was able to nap.

We walked to Ghirardelli's for ice cream with Georgia. I think this may have been Georgia first taste of ice cream. It is crazy how much ice cream they use in a kids sundae.

It was hard to keep Sam for spreading ice cream all over himself. He really likes ice cream.

One more of beautiful Baby Georgia. She is such a wonderful little baby ... so happy that we have her in our lives.

After dessert we ate at In-N-Out Burger ... yum. I am sad that that was the first time I had ever eaten at In-N-Out. It very good.

Sam ate all of Georgia's blueberries, Anna fed Georgia french fries, and we all were to buy eating to really care.

Reid knew all the special ways to order the burgers .. we had ours "animal style."

Road Trip Day 4: Disney Museum , Golden Gate Bridge & Georgia

Anna and I spent our first morning in San Francisco exploring Fisherman's Wharf. We noticed that there were many street performers who were "sparkly." We met up with Allie, Chet, & Carmella for lunch at a restaurant we had eaten in with Anna four years earlier ... still good.

After lunch we met up with Sam and Charles to go to the Disney Family Museum. This is an amazing museum ... Walt Disney was an amazing man. This is Anna and I in front of the living room furniture of the family firehouse apartment in Disneyland.

After the museum, Kathryn and Georgia met us to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was wonderful to see the city from the bridge and get to walk on such an amazing structure. Lucky for us while Reid was driving across to pick us up, he spotted a jumper and was able to contact us in time before we could see the person.

After our walk we went to Kathryn and Reid's house for dinner (a lot of carbo loading in preparation for Charles 1/2 marathon the next day). We were lucky to finally meet Ryan and Ryes, see the house, and play in Georgia's play land. Anna and Sam love Baby Georgia so much, she was a little in danger of being mauled by love.
